Whispers of School days

Published on: 13 Feb 2024

10 year old me was unaware,
what my father was trying to tell,
to live my school life to the fullest,
cause after this, life will be compared to hell..

too young I was,
with hurtless emotional eyes,
to not understand and now realize,
why everyone is scared to say goodbyes

the first day I ever stepped in,
I still remember it as yesterday,
sobbing, shivering, crying;
seeing my parents leave me this way

trapped amongst thousand buds,
I was too shy to speak,
when up came a hand on my shoulder,
as I jumped back with a squeak

That was the starting point
to a lore untold,
grappling 15 marvelous years of mine
which now were sealed as memories in books that fold

My Father - the Great Wise Man,
guided me towards light;
I did make new friends, I did make memories
I did everything with all my might

Life was never easy,
Last two years were the perfect testament;
From Scolding to Studies to Responsibilities,
Everything wanted me depressed and dormant

Sometimes Months felt like darkness,
I was engulfed by the night;
surrounded by ghouls of expectations;
I seemingly lost every bit of light..

Still I had 3 buddies, who were just the savior I asked for
helping me in every battle, Together we won the war
They showed in me confidence, taught me pride,
taught me what fun was, They taught me how to glide,
I am forever grateful, to have these brothers of mine..
To always support me and pull me out just fine..

Now I finally get it, as the years unfurl,
My father's wisdom, to live and embrace the world.
With achievements to cherish, and friends by my side,
I step into the future, with unwavering pride.

I'm grateful for teachers and mentors so dear,
For lessons they've taught me, year after year.
As I face life's challenges, my heart filled with light,
I'll remember my school days, with all of my might.
