Sandakphu Trek - Lose Your Mind And Find Your Soul!

Sandakphu is the highest point in West Bengal (3636m), and one of the few places in the world from where one can witness five of the mighty Himalayan peaks at one turn of the neck. Our school organised a trek to this majestic wonderland from the 14 to the 19 of May 2023. The trek spanned over three days, where we saw some of the most beautiful landscapes, and beheld some of nature's very own craftsmanship.
The trek started from Dhotrey (8550 ft), where we had reached the previous day by car. We walked towards Tumling and stayed there for the night. The next day we traversed the roads to Kaliphokri, which meant we were only a day away from Sandakphu. After a steep climb to our destination, we were greeted by a breath-taking view. The next day we descended to the hills of north Bengal. At Siliguri, we did a bit of shopping and took part in the Jungle safari. I wish I could express in words what an amazing experience the trip was!
