Educational Visit to Antara Psychiatric Hospital

As part of an experiential learning programme, the Psychology students of Class XII visited Antara Psychiatric Hospital, Baruipur, on 4th August 2026. The visit began with an informative workshop on the institution's history, vision, and mental healthcare services. Students interacted with patients, gaining valuable insights into their experiences and developing greater empathy and understanding of mental health. They also toured various clinical and rehabilitation units, observing the multidisciplinary approach to psychiatric care. A memorable highlight was the Occupational Therapy Department, where students admired and purchased handcrafted items made by patients, appreciating their creativity and resilience. The visit effectively connected classroom learning with real-life experiences, reinforcing the importance of mental health awareness and compassionate care.
