On 11 August 2025, the Wellness Centre of M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth conducted an empowering session for Class 8, titled “Be You, Not Who They Want You to Be.” The session was led by counsellors, Dr Apala Chatterjee and Ms Mousumi Chowdhury, along with special educator, Ms Soumi Banerjee.

Focussing on self-acceptance, individuality, and the courage to resist societal pressures, the facilitators engaged students through interactive discussions, activities, and real-life examples. The session encouraged students to explore their identities, recognise their core values, and appreciate their strengths.

Emphasising that self-awareness and confidence are vital during adolescence, the speakers inspired students to embrace their uniqueness. Active participation and personal reflections from the students made the session lively and impactful. The takeaway message was clear—individuality is to be celebrated, and the courage to be oneself is the cornerstone of personal growth and a healthy self-image.
