"For men may come and men may go ,
But I go on forever"-the famous lines from The Brook by Lord Tennyson seems to be quite apt keeping in mind the continuous progress of our institution ,though the journey was fraught with several odds and challenges. The dogged determination to 'Hold on' at all times reveals the strength of our purpose to fulfill the vision of our school so that it can take the flight of an eagle and soar high. This year we celebrated the 21st Foundation Day of our school on 17th June,2017, where we had the Annual Prize Distribution ceremony interspersed with several cultural events. The programme had an auspicious beginning by lighting the lamp which was followed by a Welcome Dance through which the students offered their tribute to Goddess Saraswati. Our Respected Chairman Sir and Principal Sir etched out the rich history and tradition of our school through their inspiring words and also motivated the students to become better individuals so that they can serve the society in every possible way .The Chief Guest for the day Dr.Shashi Panja, Minister of State, Government of West Bengal, Child and Women Welfare Ministry and Social Development Ministry, motivated the students to strive not only to achieve personal glory but also contribute to the development of the nation and become a' Man' in the true sense of the word. The various cultural programmes which added myriad hues to the day's event were a dance presentation titled 'Save the Tree' which was a plea to save Mother Nature from depletion, the musical rendition 'All things bright and beautiful' and 'It's a small world' was a timeless ode to Nature and finally the instrumental presentation 'Oi Ujjalo Din' reflecting the patriotic zeal and fervor was soul-stirring. The chief attraction of the day -The Prize Distribution Ceremony ,was a long awaited event where students from all levels were given due recognition under various categories for their relentless pursuit for achieving excellence in various fields throughout the year. Apart from presenting certificates and books to the high achievers our benevolent Management also awarded merit scholarship of 50% waiver of tuition fees to outstanding students of classes I to IX and for class XI 25% waiver for those securing 90-95% in aggregate in ICSE and 30% waiver for those securing 95% and above in ICSE.. The toppers of ICSE and ISC 2017 were honoured amidst a thundering round of applause and their achievements will continue to be an inspiration for all students in the years to come. Prizes were also given for Inter-House achievements .The teachers who completed 10 and 15 years of relentless service to the institution were felicitated and those who attended school regularly without any break were honoured. The ancillary staff who are an indispensable part of our school fraternity were also honoured. The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by our Headmistress Ma'am. Overall, the day ended on an exhilarating note and we took a solemn oath to continue our journey diligently so that our institution progresses and prospers in the days to come.
