10th Year Celebrations
On the 19th and 20th of December, M.C.Kejriwal Vidyapeeth(Liluah,Howrah) celebrated their completion of ten glorious years through a fun and frolic filled carnival entitled the “Rocking Decade”. As the name suggests the school has traversed the eventful path of ten years of satisfactory growth and achievements, all the while looking towards the future with an aim to excel in all fields. The MCKV family, as it is fondly referred to, comprising of the Management, Students, Teachers and Parents came together in a joyous and boisterous celebration of their achievement and triumph.
The programmes were planned in accordance with the school’s endeavour to uphold the cultural heritage of our country and to imbibe its importance in young minds. The carnival commenced with the auspicious ‘Ganesh Stuti’ where the students invoked the blessings of God. Soon after the honourable Chief Guest Mr. Alvito D’Cunha and Mr. Sunil Chetri arrived and were welcomed with appropriate warmth and reverence.
The evening was marked by myriad folk dance numbers and folk songs which the various states of our illustrious country boasts of. The children put up a brilliant and admirable show which spoke of their talent, versatality and dedication. A number of food stalls were set up, which served delicacies catering to different palates. Games stalls too, were set up and people flocked to these stalls to play games and win exciting prizes.
The first day of the carnival witnessed the much awaited launch of the 10th year school magazine VOYAGE II, which was published to mark the appreciable efforts and achievements of the school and at the same time showcasing the creative talents of the students and teachers. On the second day, our honourable Chief Guest was a Justice Shri Sushanta Chatterjee.The teacher and staff members who had successfully completed ten years of valuable service were felicitated with bouquets, certificates and gifts. A music CD featuring a beautiful school song was also released to mark this occasion. The two day carnival ended in a roaring success and was ample proof of the co-operative and commendable efforts of the students and staff of M.C.Kejriwal Vidyapeeth.
